Seed at Black Swan Arts

Nestled in the Black Swan Arts, Frome there is a wealth of British design talent waiting to be discovered at a unique design emporium, SEED.

Established in 2009 by stylist and fashion industry pro Sinead Foley, with the aim of nurturing original design and making it available to all, SEED has become a destination for its eclectic mix of products. Adverse to anything colloquially ‘craft’, instead the walls of this boutique are lined with original art and the cabinets laden with handmade jewellery from rising stars; ceramics, sculpture and glassware leave vintage workbenches and sideboards (also for sale) groaning whilst luxurious textiles and homewares jostle for space alongside coveted objet trouvé personally sourced by Foley.

Some of the pieces are totally unique and the majority in limited supply, ensuring a distinctive purchase every time. Commissions are also happily accepted and vintage furniture can be sourced to order prompting Foley to scour her little black book of contacts and markets to track down that elusive piece.

Representing a carefully curated edit of the hottest new designs coming to market, Seed is a showcase of the best of British; all that is cool, creative, individual and inspired in homegrown design talent today.

Open Monday – Saturday, 10am – 5pm
