The Programming Group

The Programming Group chooses the majority of the exhibitions which are mounted in the Long Gallery.  The group consists of Frome-based professional artists and craftspeople (usually between 6 and 8 in number) who meet regularly to select, schedule and curate the Black Swan Arts premier exhibitions, with the exception of the annual Open and Young Open competition exhibitions.  Membership of the group is by invitation, with most serving for a three year term.

Born and raised in Bruges, Belgium – Hans began his career as a nurse working in Belgium, Switzerland and the UK. Later in life he developed a passion for ceramics, via a slightly convoluted journey. Beginning with Art History and Philosophy, it seemed a natural progression on to ceramics and art. He continued his study with a Master’s degree in 3D Design Ceramics at Bath Spa University and has since exhibited in UK, Europe and China. He is the co-director of artsandmusic.uk
