SPIRIT LEVEL- Simon Ledson
Preview night: Friday 6 February 6 - 8pm
Open: Saturday 7 February - 7 March Monday - Saturday 10am to 4pm.

SPIRIT LEVEL - looking at and questioning both the thing itself and the image of the thing - objects and images in order to achieve a fusion.

Spirit levels are tools which use liquid to find the point of balance and of equilibrium. Imagine the extreme weather patterns as being the result of human intervention /actions which prevents nature being in balance.

Ledson's trembling, lyrical, empty scapes seem to suggest a calm, pastoral, safe world where the perspective of the human self seems central and control seem worlds away.
